Kia ora RAD whānau!

Welcome to our overview of RAD’s universe.

We’re back to spinning spanners at full speed after our summer break!

It’s so RAD to see so many people keen to get riding. The demand for bikes is bigger than ever, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible crew, who have been pedalling hard to keep up. A massive thanks to our amazing volunteers for generously sharing their time and skills to help others, and to our wider community and collaborators for your support and patience as we do our best to find RAD solutions for everyone.

We’re stoked to be helping more people in Ōtautahi get rolling :)

More Find a Bike Sessions!

RAD’s now running our F.A.B sessions are every Mon and Thurs 3-6pm, plus 4 pop up events this year. So spread the word to anyone in need and keep an eye out on our socials for our pop ups. Thanks CCC for enabling this!

Huge thanks to RAD Staff

We’ve recently had some new & returning faces to Our Staff. We’re stoked to have Yvonne & Iryna join us! As well as Ryan & Mai back in the crew. All the best to Lois on maternity leave, plus Kiran & Joel for their overseas adventures! You’ll always be RAD to us :)

RAD Teaching Revised

We’ve repackaged our courses and workshops into more digestible chunks to suit a range of rad skill levels / availability / interests (and keen beans can build make their own RAD combo!). Check out / follow Humanitix for tickets and to hear first what’s coming up!

Find a Bike Pop-up Events!

This year we’re pedalling hard to rehome even more bikes by running 4 F.A.B Pop Ups! Thanks UC Human Power for hosting us at UC Clubs Day recently. Was so RAD to get students riding and grow our connections. Keep an eye on our socials for where we’ll pop up next!

CCC Cycleway Tune Ups

RAD is joining CCC and Hits Radio crew to help activate Uni-Cycle Cycleway! There’ll be free quick tune-ups, as well as fun bike-related activities, freebies and cycling maps. Saturday 1st March, 1-3pm at North Hagley Park, corner of Harper Ave and Deans Ave.

Women’s Puncture Repair

Our wonderful Bike Bridge crew is hosting a beginner’s lesson in puncture repair to support their ladies further and celebrate International Womens Day. All are welcome to learn and teach skills! Saturday 8th March, 4.30pm at Addington Te Kura Taumatua School.

We’re still looking for a permanent home!

R.A.D’s current space is a huge success! It’s proving to ourselves and others what the massive difference a great setup can make for our organisation, and our ability to deliver our core kaupapa.

But with the stadium progressing, our time here is uncertain.

So we're actively working on finding a permanent home and would love your help. If you have suggestions for potential properties, supporters or collaborators to approach, let us know - here’s what we’re looking for.
